Stadium Managers Association Educational Resources
SMA's educational initiatives include peer groups, webinars, hosted education videos and regional forums. We look forward to this resource providing opportunities for connection, knowledge and service elevation!
Peer Groups
The SMA Operations Peer Groups were created to:
- Provide education and resources to all members that is timely, consistent, relevant, valuable, and delivered via a variety of mediums for maximum impact.
- Create a SMA network of members that spans departments and focuses on both peer discussion groups as well as deep dives into ALL operations groups that "make the gameday go!"
Operations Peer Groups are virtual roundtable discussions highlighting hot topics within Safety & Security, Guest Services, and Facility Management. All SMA members are invited and encouraged to participate in these roundtable discussions to exchange information and talk about key business issues. These sessions are included in your member benefits, but we do ask all members to register to attend.

New Member Peer Groups
Join us at one of our New Member Peer Groups for an opportunity to connect virtually with other new members! These peer groups are held in September, November and January. Details will be emailed.
As part of SMAs guiding pillars, Network, Educate and Involve it is important for SMA to create an environment where new members are welcome and they have the opportunity to connect with other members across various leagues. The culture of our company speaks volumes about our mission, values and ideals. A positive workplace culture is one that is built on meaningful work, open communication, as well as a genuine connection between employees and their organization. To attract and retain employees, organizations must be strategic in their cultural development and sustainability.
Our panel discussion will feature Travis Baker of the Pittsburgh Steelers and JT McCreary of the Arizona Diamondbacks and will be facilitated by Kameron Durham of the Seattle Seahawks.

The SMA Education Committee works with vendor and manager members to identify trending topics and bring relative information to the membership. Access to these webinars is included in SMA membership, but registration is required.

Regional Forums
New in 2023, Regional Forums were created by the Board of Directors to allow for an additional opportunity, outside of seminar, to connect with other members face-to-face. It's intended to be a drivable distance for those members in close proximity, but everyone is welcome. Our first Regional Forum was hosted at Coors Field in Denver, CO!
Agendas for these events will give plenty of time for peer-to-peer connecting, as well as educational roundtables, to share experiences and bring back new tools for implementation. The SMA team is excited to continue with additional forums throughout the US.
