In 2021, SMA  announced a strategic partnership with the Innovative Institute for Fan Experience (IIFX). SMA’s ongoing initiatives of Network, Educate, Involve are core values at the center of this partnership that will allow SMA members access to:
• webinars, podcasts and other member resources hosted by IIFX;
• additional in-person educational opportunities at discounted pricing;
• networking circles that expand your expert knowledge pool for unique and meaningful fan experiences at your venue.

EPAs Green Power Partnership

EPAs Green Power Partnership

EPA’s Green Power Partnership (GPP), a free, voluntary program that provides assistance and recognition to organizations that choose to use green power, will work closely with SMA to develop tools for stadiums across the country to learn more about renewable energy and strategies to communicate the benefits of renewable energy to stakeholders and fans.

Prioritizing responsibility and providing education are proven techniques to help ensure safety and save lives. . By providing effective alcohol management training for employees, TEAM ensures that the facility staff can identify the warning signs of impairment, prevent underage drinking and handle fans that may have had too much to drink.

Green Sports Alliance

The Stadium Managers Association and Green Sports Alliance are combining forces in an effort to further enhance environmental performance and innovations in stadiums across the nation. In leveraging the stadium operations and management expertise of the members of SMA with the environmental and sustainability expertise and resources of the GSA, the partnership will accelerate the greening of the sports industry.

ESSMA, the European Stadium & Safety Management Association unites the stadium industry. With more than 350 members from numerous leagues and federations, they have a strong network in Europe to discuss sector related topics and reach common insights. They are highly involved with key stakeholders in the industry and contribute toward the further professionalization of the European stadium industry. SMA and ESSMA are proud to work together year-round and share resources among both organizations.

NCS4, located at the University of Southern Mississippi, supports the advancement of sport safety and security through training, professional development, academic programs and research.
